When will the first directory be available for search and taking listings?

• Starting in Q3 of 2007

• Our plans are to launch GiftDirectory.com first, followed by ShoppingDirectory.com, StoreDirectory.com, TechnologyDirectory.com, SoftwareDirectory.com, BusinessDirectory.com, MedicalDirectory.com, IndustryDirectory.com

• We are not online so we are not collecting traffic data However, we receive a steady stream of inquiries and type-in traffic..

• We are not aware of any directory that guarantees results, however, our listings are priced low enough to assure a return on your advertising dollars. We believe within 3 years your listing will be worth much more than you are paying.

• Yes, with certain limitations, such as normal capitalization and punctuation, no profanity, obscenity or other objectionable content. We will offer guidelines but ad language will be your decision.

• No. For ease of scanning and to maintain a professional appearance ad formats will be  standardized.

• Yes.

• No. Reciprocal links are slowly becoming a form of search engine spam and will eventually be demoted in importance. In the vast majority of cases reciprocal links are irrelevant to the Website visitor. We don't offer our services for free because people and businesses, such as our employees, our mortgage company, the electric and phone companies, all expect us to pay them.

• No. After our initial build we do not plan to update from DMOZ.

• Our ads will be more detailed, more business oriented, and you will control the contents of your ad.

• Our plan is to be "the other search tool", not in competition with the search engines but as a second tool that should be checked to verify your search engine results.

• No. Here's why.

• You did not receive a bill from us. We are not sending bills to anyone at this time.
• If you received a bill the purports to be from DirectoryCompany.com or one of its associated Web directories DON'T PAY IT. It's not from us. Send us a copy of the bill to P.O. Box 99, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062 so we can track down the fraud. Include your email address so we can respond.
• Better yet, if you think you have been billed by us carefully check the bill right now and you likely will find the bill, in fact, is not from us. Although we are building BusinessDirectory.com you should know that there are literally 1000s of business directories.
• When we do go online billing will be handled online by credit card payment. If you believe you have a bill from us on your credit card - you don't. You would have to use our system and our system is not operational. So, double check your bill.

• We are NOT calling anyone. We will not rely on direct telephone marketing. No one is currently authorized to do any marketing on our behalf. People sometimes hear the name of a directory and make the connection in their mind to us. However, there are 100s of business directories in this world. There is only one BusinessDirectory.com and we are not soliciting business through direct marketing at this time. 

• Again, we are not online so there are no listings. We don't offer a PRINT DIRECTORY at this time, so if the problem you are having relates to a print directory you are confused and need to double check your information.
